I have been recently begun to ride my bike to work. It's not all the time, everyday, but it's something that I thought that I would enjoy doing. And with my busy schedule, any source of exercise is a welcome addition.

Atlanta was recently ranked the 49th worst state to ride a bike in... But that doesn't mean that it's not possible. I agree that many of the drivers here are just delinquent and are horrible at noticing that anyone other than themselves are on the road. Nonetheless, it doesn't mean that someone here isn't fighting to make things right, especially for cyclists. The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is one such organization.

This year, in May, they are hosting a "Bike to Work Day" (I am not sure why it's called "day" when it spans a week, but that's another story) event. Unfortunately I will be out for 1/2 that week, but 'post-backpacing' legs pending, I will be riding out the latter half of that week for sure.
